We will read "Eating the Alphabet: Fruits and Vegetables from A to Z", followed by a veggie sorting game and a short hike.

This session we will discuss everything about birds!
How do birds fly? How does the shape of a beak affect what a bird eats? Why do some birds migrate? How do birds build their nests? And so much more!
We will go on birdwatching hikes during every class and learn about the many types of birds that call DeVries home!

Join us for a bouquet making workshop! @Shell Gardens will be here to talk all things flowers and teach us how to make the most visually appealing bouquets. The class is $35 and includes instruction and a beautiful bouquet (that you made) to take home!
DeVries Nature Conservancy
A scenic race that runs the fields of DeVries Nature Conservancy in Owosso. The runners and walkers will travel along the fields of the conservancy that include cropland, meadow, and river trail. The trails are well groomed and suited for jogging strollers and pets are welcome, too! No hard surfaces and very little slope to the course.
Entry Fee: $30 until September 7th (T-shirt guaranteed), $35 from September 8th to 16th (limited supply of shirts, available as they last), $40 on race day (no shirts available).
All participants will receive a finisher medal. T-shirts guaranteed if registered by September 7th, 2023. First 20 dog finishers will receive a neck bandana.
Packet Pick Up: Race day starting at 12:30 PM
Course: Beautiful scenic route thru the DeVries Nature Conservancy
Results: Available right after the race and texted to you
Awards: Male and Female, Masters and Overall. Ages groups award 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over.
Proceeds: The American Red Cross will be on site to offer information about their services, training, and other community help they provide.
Proceeds from this event will go to the American Red Cross organization.
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
