Join Ms. Brittany for a storytime followed by a craft and a nature walk!

Join us from 10:00am-10:30am for a DIY oriole grape jelly workshop! Each participant will assemble their feeder and leave with some grape jelly and fresh oranges to take home. The cost is $15 per person and registration before April 19th is required to aprticipate.

Before and after the workshop, from 9am-10am and 10:30-11:30am, you can join us for a free guided birdwatching hike to celebrate National Go Birding Day!
No sign up needed for the hikes- we will have some binoculars avaialable to borrow. Each hike will be about 1-1.5 miles over mostly flat, unpaved terrain (on grass or much).

Angela Nelson of East Michigan Native Plants will be here to teach us about using native plants in gardens of all types! The workshop will last about 45 minutes; registration is $10 per person. The workshop will be followed by our Native Plant Sale, which runs from 11am to 2pm.

Native plants for sale, provided by East Michigan Native Plants. You can pre-order or purchase the day of the sale. Sale will be preceded by a Native Gardening workshop...ticket details to come.

Come watch local horse teams plow our sunflower field the old-fashioned way! Bring a chair and spend some time enjoying the outdoors while we watch the horses at work.

At 11am, Kathleen Haak will be in the Carriage & Sleigh Museum to give a fascinating talk on carriage history entitled "Carriage Makers of Mid-Michigan." Our education coordinator will also be on site to lead guided walks around the property at various times of the day.

This event is free to attend.

Come out to DeVries to meet some live birds of prey. Barb and Joe Rogers of Wildlife Recovery Association will introduce us to some of their ambassador raptors while teaching us about these magnificent animals. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket! This event is free and open to all ages.
