Summer Nature Camp at DeVries!
4th-8th Grades – Tuesday-Thursday, June 19-21, 1-5 pmArt Projects Include:
– Designing and bringing a scarecrow to life for either the Veggie Garden at DeVries or to take home to your own garden
– Create a layered cardboard art sculpture which will be spray painted
– Collage a Nature Journal cover. We will be using the journal on walks in the woods and the prairie
– River Watercolor Adventure – packing up our watercolor supplies to be used out on the trail along the Shiawassee River
–Snacks will be provided. At registration, let us know of any allergies
--Experience foraging material from nature on a hike to be used for sun prints
Fees are calculated per week. There are half day and full day options available. Half days begin at 9 am and end at 12 pm, while full days end at 5. We do have a limited number of scholarships available. Please email our Education Coordinator, Torey Fry at email@example.com for more details.

We are looking for camp aides this summer! This is the perfect opportunity for teens aged 13-18 to volunteer during our Summer Nature Camps and learn leadership skills. Spend your summer outdoors assisting our Education Coordinator while earning up to 40 hours of community service hours a week. In order to be considered, we will need a teen volunteer form and a camp aide form filled out and returned to Torey Fry, our Education Coordinator. Aide assignments will be made based on best fit and availability.
